AIG UK is looking to recruit a Finance Operations Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Insurance provider.
Job Description:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reconciliations for 100-150 Balance Sheet accounts. These have to conform to various regulatory/audit requirements.
- Investigate and clear unsupported balances.
- Review use of accounts, document procedures and dataflow process.
- Review current process and make recommendations for improvements.
- Actively work with the automation team to implement necessary changes.
- Work as part of a team and assist where necessary.
- Ad-hoc duties
- Ensuring TCF objectives
Skills & knowledge required:
- Qualified accountant/Finalist or qualified by experience.
- Good knowledge of Excel & IT literate
- Balance Sheet reconciliation experience
- Present information and data accurately, timely completion of assignment, achieving very good standard, accepts responsibilities for success and failures, use feedback to improve where necessary.
- Work independently and using initiative for problem solving
- Good attendance and punctuality and must be flexible.
- Good communication skills.
Exposure to Sarbox, internal/external audit requirements & controls is also an added benefit |
