The Company
Our client is a well established three partner accountancy practice based in Chertsey, Surrey, founded in 1947. This opportunity would suit either a Chartered/Certified Accountant, or AAT qualified (or equivalent) individual to join the team to assist the Partners with their existing client base and to develop the business.

The Role - Accountant
General responsibilities: (Depending on experience)

" Meet and communicate with clients to deal with their accountancy, audit , taxation and other business consultancy matters
" Preparation of personal, partnership and corporate tax returns
" Preparation of accounts for Sole proprietors, Partnerships, Private Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships and PLC's
" Statutory Audits
" Ad hoc duties 

Person specification - For consideration by our client, applicants will be Chartered/Certified Accountants, or AAT qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

" Relevant Qualifications
" Fully conversant with computerised accounting and taxation packages (Preferably Iris and Sage)
" Conversant with current Tax Law, Accounting and Auditing standards
" Ability to work effectively and without supervision
" Professional in approach and an excellent communicator
" Loyal and committed with a high level of integrity

Package for the Chartered or Certified Accountant

Salary range £25 - £45k initially (neg. DOE)
