Part qualified accountant required for busy Financial Reporting unit in Direct Marketing Insurance company.

Job description:

To provide assistance to Financial Controller in preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts pack, Annual Statutory accounts and Tax Computations. Assistance with annual budget preparation and ongoing monitoring.
To provide assistance with producing financial analysis for Marketing department and cost centre reporting.
Other duties include monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal preparation and ad-hoc tasks

Skills and knowledge required:

Good reconciliation skills
Ability to use own initiative
Good working knowledge of excel
Flexibility - working for busy department to tight deadlines
Solid understanding of double entry accounting.
Previous experience in preparation of financial accounts.
Intermediate level accountancy qualification ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ( or equivalent)
