Accounts Clerk Stockport Cheshire

 

Our client a market leading Manufacturing Company, is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Clerk to join their thriving Finance Department.

 

Responsibilities:

*Follow procedures in opening new accounts
*Process purchase invoices and expenses
*Deal with supplier queries in a timely manner
*Keep the purchase ledger up to date at all times
*Post cash on the computer system and the cashbook
*Make payments via BACS, cheque and foreign transfer
*Cover for other staff in the accounts department (to include accounts and sales ledger)
*Any other duties as required

Requirements:


*Responsible for purchase ledger input / batching
*Methodical, with accurate data input skills

*Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Sage Accountancy Software
*Ability to perform bank reconciliation, including cash and ledger
*Ideally have a basic understanding of accruals and prepayments
*Ideally have experience of foreign currency and exchange rates
*Good interpersonal skills
*Computer literate including excel and word
*Ability to work as part of a team 

 

Salary 

 

Upto £15,000 Upon Experience

28 Days Holiday
